To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport pursuant to the answer of 27 June 2008, Official Report, columns 860-61W, what contribution he expects Sport England to make to the £140 million fund announced on 6 June 2008 to encourage local authorities to offer free swimming; and what percentage of the fund will come from (a) Lottery income and (b) grant-in-aid income. [holding answer 6 October 2008]: We are discussing with Sport England its potential contribution to the Free Swimming Programme.

None of the £140 million fund will come from lottery income.
