The available information showing the number of times pupils have been excluded for a fixed period is published annually by the Department. These figures can be found in the Statistical First Release “DCSF: Permanent and Fixed Period Exclusions from Schools and Exclusion Appeals in England”, the latest of which refer to the 2006/07 school year and can be accessed at:
