Child Benefit: Telephone Services

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the average waiting time was for telephone callers attempting to contact child benefit services in the last period for which figures are available. (224466)

In 2007-08 customers calling the Child Benefit Helpline waited, on average, one minute 21 seconds before their call was answered by an adviser.
