To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what assessment the Government has made of the value of the Scotch whisky industry to the Scottish economy. (240738)

Scotch Whisky exports are worth £2.8 billion to the Scottish, and UK, economy each year. In addition, the Scotch Whisky industry generates £800 million of salaries in Scotland and £700 million is spent on local goods and services in Scotland.
