Prostitution: Public Consultation

Volume 485: debated on Tuesday 16 December 2008

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consideration she gave to conducting a public consultation as part of her review of the demand for prostitution; and whether she plans to conduct a public consultation on the recommendations of the review. (242663)

The review of tackling the demand for prostitution engaged with key stakeholders and practitioners, including the police and the Crown Prosecution Service as well as a variety of organisations that provide support to individuals involved in prostitution, and considered a range of evidence from a number of sources. There are no plans to conduct a public consultation on the recommendations of the review.
