To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate the Government has made of the cost to small businesses of proposals to remove cigarette displays in shops. (247326)

The “Consultation on the future of tobacco control” included a consultation-stage impact assessment that calculated the costs and benefits of removing tobacco displays. This document can be viewed in the consultation document, which has been placed in the Library and is available online at:

A revised regulatory impact assessment, taking into account additional information and evidence received during the consultation process, will be published when the Health Bill is introduced.
