Since 2004-05, the number of physical assaults against staff reported by NHS bodies has been collected annually by the National Health Service Security Management Service. This information is contained in tables showing the number of physical assaults on NHS staff reported in England for each of the years 2004-05 to 2007-08. These tables have already been placed in the Library.
