To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer with reference to the answer of 6 October 2008 to my hon. Friend the Member for Rochford and Southend East, (James Duddridge) Official Report, column 371W, on departmental databases, which aspects of financial exclusion MOSAIC and ACORN data were used to inform. The Treasury used ACORN data to map the areas of financial exclusion reported in the Government’s first financial inclusion strategy. MOSAIC data was used to map the demand for third sector affordable credit and to map and identify areas of high financial exclusion.
