To ask the Secretary of State for Health which primary care trusts have awarded contracts to private companies to operate walk-in centres; and which company has been awarded the contract in each case. (250574)

With regard to which primary care trusts (PCTs) may have locally commissioned private sector companies to operate national health service (NHS) commuter walk-in centres (CWICs), this information is not held centrally.

The Department holds information about six NHS CWiCs procured as part of the centrally funded independent sector treatment centre (ISTC) programme.
