To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what guidance her Department has provided to local authorities on severance packages given to local government officials who are sacked for not properly fulfilling their duties. (252497)

The Department issues no guidance on staff severance arrangements. Decisions to terminate a local authority employment, for any reason, are a matter for the local authority involved.
