Schools: Blackpool

Volume 487: debated on Wednesday 4 February 2009

To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how much his Department has spent on (a) primary and (b) secondary school buildings in Blackpool since the local authority became a unitary authority in 1998-99. (253315)

The Department relies on local authorities to prioritise resources, and does not keep central records of the split of expenditure between primary and secondary schools. The Department has allocated £101.7 million to Blackpool between 1998-99 and the present, including the current year 2008-09.
