MMR Vaccine

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what estimate he has made of the proportion of (a) males and (b) females aged under 18 in each strategic health authority area who have not been immunised against measles, mumps and rubella; [252936]

(2) how many children in each strategic health authority area had not received measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in each of the last five years.

The Information Centre for Health and Social Care publishes annual reports which include tables of the percentage of children immunised with measles, mumps and rubella vaccine at two and five years of age in each strategic health authority. A copy of the most recent annual report, ‘NHS Immunisation Statistics 2007-08’, has been placed in the Library. Copies of the reports titled; ‘NHS Immunisation Statistics, England, 2003-04’, ‘NHS Immunisation Statistics, England, 2004-05’, ‘NHS Immunisation Statistics, England, 2005-06’, and ‘NHS Immunisation Statistics, England, 2006-07’ have already been placed in the Library.

Data on gender are not collected.
