United States Missile Defence Shield

…..All I can say is that up to now—this information has been in the public domain—there have been quite a number of firings by the Americans of their anti-ballistic missile systems. There have been 47 successes so far, as against 37 failures.

Letter of correction from Mr. Quentin Davies:

An error has been identified during the end of day adjournment debate on the US missile defence shield on 4 February 2009. The answer given stated:

…..All I can say is that up to now—this information has been in the public domain—there have been quite a number of firings by the Americans of their anti-ballistic missile systems. There have been 47 successes so far, as against 37 failures.

The correct answer should have been:

…..All I can say is that up to now—this information has been in the public domain— there have been quite a number of firings by the Americans of their anti-ballistic missile systems. There have been 37 successes so far, as against 10 failures.
