Friend the Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills has regular meetings with his counterparts in the devolved administrations and relevant Cabinet colleagues on a range of issues including research and science policy, as do his ministerial team and senior officials. Last week the Secretary of State met Jane Hutt the Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills on a visit to the university of Cardiff.
