Welfare Tax Credits: Wales

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proportion of the working population in Wales was in receipt of tax credits in 2008. (258093)

However, estimates of the number of in-work families benefiting from Tax Credits, by country and government office region, as at December 2008, are available in table 1 of the HMRC snapshot publication, “Child and Working Tax Credits Statistics.
