Industrial Health and Safety: Wales

Volume 488: debated on Wednesday 25 February 2009

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what discussions have taken place with the Welsh Assembly Government on work under its national action plan to reduce suicide and self harm in Wales 2008-2013 with his Department to encourage employers to be alert to the risk of suicide amongst staff and to encourage and facilitate uptake of help and support; and if he will make a statement. (247145)

We have had no discussions with the Welsh Assembly government on work under their national action plan to reduce suicide and self harm in Wales 2008-13. Officials have, however, had several conversations on related subjects such as mental health and the workplace. We could specify these only at disproportionate cost.
