To ask the Secretary of State for Health how much was spent by (a) NHS hospital trusts, (b) ambulance trusts and (c) primary care trusts on temporary administrative staff in each of the last five years. (259179)

The expenditure in national health service hospital trusts, ambulance trusts and primary care trusts on non-NHS staff under the ‘administrative and clerical’ heading are shown in the following table.
