To ask the Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills how many and what proportion of staff in his Department and its agencies have received bonus payments since it was established; what the total amount of bonuses paid has been; what the largest single payment has been; and if he will make a statement. The Department was created on 28 June 2007. The Department’s annual non-pensionable bonuses are awarded on 1 April 2008 for the 12 month performance reporting period ending on 31 March 2008.

Since the Department’s establishment, bonuses awarded to its employees and its agencies are set out as follows.
