To ask the Secretary of State for Health with reference to the tariff uplift breakdown for 2009-10, published by his Department on 5 February 2009, and pursuant to the answer of 20 January 2009, Official Report, column 1378W, on maternity services: finance, under what tariff headings the additional funding his Department plans to provide for maternity services in 2009-10 is included. Additional funding for maternity services in 2009-10 is not included in the tariff uplift breakdown for 2009-10, as this is the general uplift applied to all tariff prices. Instead, money has been targeted at maternity services, including a £20 million uplift to the maternity out-patient attendance tariff.
