To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families pursuant to the answer of 10 February 2009, Official Report, columns 1969-70W on teachers: male, what the equivalent figures were in each local authority area in each of the last 10 years. (257576)

The table, which is to be placed in the House Library, shows the number of local authority maintained primary and secondary schools in England that employed fewer than 10 per cent. 2 per cent. and 3 per cent. qualified full-time equivalent male teachers in each local authority in England, January 1997 to 2008.
