To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Strategy and Growth Pact came into force; and what information his Department holds on which other EU member states (a) have and (b) have not achieved compliance with the Pact rules to date. (262188)

There is no Strategy and Growth Pact. The Stability and Growth Pact fully entered into force on 1 January 1999. The pact was then reformed in 2005. Details on countries' compliance with the pact rules can be found at:
