Since DECC’s creation on 3 October 2008, the Department has organised the following conferences:



29 October 2008

Regional delivery of biomass heat and power

18 to 19 December 2008

The London meeting of international energy and oil Ministers.

29 January 2009

Hydrogen Workshop to inform hydrogen stakeholders of the forthcoming Technology Strategy Board (TSB) call for fuel cells and hydrogen R and D and to enable TSB and DECC to understand the aspirations of the hydrogen energy sector, particularly with regard to research and development.

30 January 2009

Stakeholder workshop to inform stakeholders of proposals for the review of exemption orders under the Radioactive Substances Act 1993.

4 February 2009

Business forum held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, focusing on opportunities for co-operation in the field of oil and gas.
