To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether applicants for a Security Industry Authority licence (a) are required and (b) have previously been required to have a health and safety at work qualification in order to be granted a licence. (257049)

The training and qualifications that applicants must obtain in order for the Security Industry Authority to grant a licence include an appropriate health and safety content. However, there is not, nor has there been in the past, a requirement for applicants to hold a specific health and safety at work qualification.
