To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what the level of Housing Revenue Account subsidy in (a) East Cambridgeshire District Council area and (b) South Cambridgeshire District Council area is; and how many households in social housing there are in each of those areas. East Cambridgeshire district council’s housing stock was subject to a large scale voluntary transfer to a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) on 31 March 1993. They do not therefore operate a housing revenue account. It is currently estimated that South Cambridgeshire need to make negative housing revenue account subsidy payments of £11,851,560 for 2008-09.

Communities and Local Government does not collect data on the number of households in social housing, but the level of social housing stock in each council’s area is shown in the following table:
