European Communities

The European Union and the Arctic Region

That this House takes note of European Union Document No. COM(08) 763, Commission Communication on the EU and the Arctic Region; welcomes the Commission’s Communication as the first step towards an EU Arctic policy; and encourages the Government’s active engagement in further discussions to ensure that UK interests are reflected in the EU policy.—(Helen Goodman.)

(1) the matter of the Budget Statement and its implications for Wales be referred to the Welsh Grand Committee for its consideration; and
