Civil Servants: Pay

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster pursuant to the answer to Lord Ouseley of 4 March 2009, Official Report, House of Lords, column WA157, on Civil Service: salaries, which public bodies pay a salary of more than (a) £100,000 and (b) £200,000 to one or more individual civil servants. As National Statistician I have been asked to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question, pursuant to the answer to Lord Ouseley of 4 March 2009, Official Report, House of Lords, column WA157, on Civil Service: salaries, which public bodies pay a salary more than (a) £100,000 and (b) £200,000 to one or more individual civil servants. (270211).

The Office for National Statistics collects the annual salaries of civil servants from public bodies employing civil servants, as part of the Annual Civil Service Employment Survey (ACSES).
