To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (1) what financial support his Department offers (a) local authorities and (b) schools to assist in the setting up of recycling schemes on school sites; (271657)

There is no direct funding from DEFRA to local authorities to set up recycling schemes or facilities in schools, as these would be funded from the local authorities’ overall waste budget.
