Armed Forces: Swine Flu

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what preparations his Department is making to ensure that sufficient military forces are available to participate in civil contingency operations in relation to the swine influenza outbreak. (275048)

The UK’s preparations are led by the Department of Health, involving all relevant Government Departments and agencies including the MOD. There are currently no plans for military involvement in civil contingency operations in relation to the swine influenza outbreak.
