To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families at how many mainstream schools attended by pupils with statements of special educational need no such pupils achieved five A* to C grades at GCSE in each year from 1997 to 2007. (271474)

Notes:

1. Figures prior to 2004 have not been provided as these are not available on a comparable basis.

2. These figures are for pupils in maintained mainstream schools that have more than 10 pupils with statements of special educational needs.
