To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what estimate he has made of the amount of carbon dioxide emissions arising from road-based transport for his Department’s administrative operations (a) in total and (b) per full-time equivalent member of staff in (i) 2006-07 and (ii) 2007-08. (276136)

From information held centrally, the estimate made of the amount of carbon dioxide emissions arising from road-based transport for the Department’s administrative operations (a) in total and (b) per full-time equivalent member of staff in 2007-08 was 21,978 metric tonnes and 0.98 metric kg respectively. Information for the period 2006-07 is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what estimate he has made of the levels of carbon dioxide emissions arising from air travel by staff in his Department (a) in total and (b) per full-time equivalent member of staff in (i) 2006-07 and (ii) 2007-08. (276137)
