To ask the Minister of State, Department for Transport (1) how much funding his Department allocated for the construction of highways in (a) Mid-Bedfordshire constituency and (b) the East of England in each year since 1997; and if he will make a statement; (280097)

(2) how much funding his Department allocated for the creation of additional lanes on highways in (a) Mid-Bedfordshire constituency and (b) the East of England region in each year since 1997; and if he will make a statement.
