The following table shows the information for the months of February, March and April which are not covered by the previous answers.

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government pursuant to the answer of 11 June 2009, Official Report, column 996W, on housing: low incomes, what the average price of a property purchased under the (a) Social HomeBuy, (b) Right to Acquire and (c) Right to Buy scheme was in each region in each year since 1997. I have placed a table in the House Library showing the average property prices of properties sold through Social Homebuy, Right to Acquire and Right to Buy, by year and region.

These property price figures are based on the total property price, not the amount paid by the purchaser, who is entitled to a discount on the market value and may be purchasing only a share of the equity in the property.

The average property price is not shown for the Right to Acquire sales prior to 2001-02, due to a low number of sales in each year.
