To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families if he will place in the Library a copy of the letter received by his Department's predecessor on 16 February 2007 arising from an employment tribunal and containing allegations concerning child protection procedures in the London Borough of Haringey, redacting sensitive personal information as appropriate. The Department does not intend to place the letter in the Library—the letter itself is already in the public domain. It was, however, received by the Department in strict confidence and that confidence remains binding on the Department. The letter covered a statement of case relating to an employment tribunal hearing. This contains personal data relating to a number of individuals, and it would not be appropriate for the Department to make it available.
