Terrorism: Compensation

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the Government plans to introduce a compensation scheme for British victims of terrorism overseas; and if he will make a statement. (282500)

I have been asked to reply as Minister for Humanitarian Assistance.

An inter-departmental working group is putting together detailed proposals on financial support for victims of terrorist attacks overseas. The group will report to Ministers shortly.
