Methadone: Biometrics

To ask the Secretary of State for Health in which prisons a biometric-based, computer-controlled methadone dispensing system has been installed; and what expenditure his Department incurred in respect of each such installation. (282898)

The total value of the contract is £4 million. Biometric-based computer methadone dispensing systems are currently planned for installation in 70 prisons.
