On 22 June Directors of Children's Services received a ministerial letter setting out the actions we will take to facilitate immediate improvements in local systems and to support local authorities in doing so. This letter was accompanied by a circular which sets out the immediate and longer term practical steps that we will take, and establishes the new principles which will guide future development of the Integrated Children's System. A copy has been placed in the House Libraries.
