To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government if he will estimate the cost to the public purse of providing the 49 additional pitches for Travellers sites in Hinckley and Bosworth required by the Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment under the Local Development Framework. The Hinckley and Bosworth Submission Core Spatial Strategy, part of the LDF, which has yet to be formally adopted, makes provision for an additional 42 residential pitches for Gypsy and Travellers but does not specify the delivery mechanism for these provisions. The expectation is that the Gypsy and Traveller allocations, as with other housing allocations, will be delivered through a mix of public and private investment.
