To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government pursuant to the Answer of 9 July 2009, Official Report, column 959W, on mortgages: Government assistance, on what date (a) the Bank of Ireland, (b) GMAC, (c) Kensington Mortgages, (d) GE Money and (e) the Post Office joined the Homeowners Mortgage Support Scheme. GE Money joined the Homeowners Mortgage Support Scheme on 15 July 2009. The Department has continued to maintain close contact with Bank of Ireland, GMAC, Kensington Mortgages, GE Money and the Post Office in regard to joining the Homeowners Mortgage Support. All lenders have restated their commitment to the scheme and continue to work with the Department to implement the operational and system requirements necessary to offer the scheme to their customers as soon as possible.
