To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much funding was allocated to the National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit (NETCU) in each financial year since 2003-04; and how many staff were employed by NETCU in each such year. (282011)

[holding answer 24 June 2009]: Funding to the National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit is managed on behalf of the Home Office by the Association of Chief Police Officers Terrorism and Allied Matters (ACPO TAM). We do not disclose details of grants provided to individual units on security grounds. Nor do we disclose details of the numbers of staff employed by individual units.
