Midwives: Manpower

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many midwives were employed in the National Health Service in (a) the Vale of York, (b) North Yorkshire and (c) England in (i) 2005, (ii) 2006, (iii) 2007 and (iv) 2008. (291794)
