To ask the Minister of State, Department for Transport what estimate he has made of the number of miles heavy goods vehicles over 12 tonnes registered in (a) the UK and (b) overseas travelled on roads in the UK in each year since 1997. (302813)

The table shows the estimated distance travelled in the UK by UK-registered heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) weighing over 12 tonnes. Figures for foreign-registered HGVs are not available.
