To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what estimate he has made of the revenue generated by tourism in the British uplands in each of the last five years. (303630)

VisitBritain does not hold this information in the form requested. We do however know that spend on tourism in Cumbria in 2008 was £68 million1. Further statistics on tourism spend at county and town level are available on the VisitBritain website at:
