To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he plans to publish his Department's response to its consultation on the statutory regulation of practitioners of acupuncture, herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and other traditional medicine systems practised in the UK. (304008)

The Department has received a large number of responses to the recent consultation on the statutory regulation of practitioners of acupuncture, herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and other traditional medicine systems practised in the United Kingdom. Once these have been analysed, the Department will publish its response. This is not expected to be before summer 2010.
