Influenza: Stockport

Volume 502: debated on Monday 7 December 2009

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many doses of seasonal influenza vaccine had been distributed to health centres in the Stockport Primary Care Trust area in the 12 months to 1 December 2009. (304125)

Seasonal influenza vaccine is ordered by general practitioner (GP) practices direct from the manufacturers. The Department is not involved in the ordering process and does not have information about amounts ordered or distributed. Seasonal influenza vaccine is distributed from mid-September onwards, with most GP practices starting vaccination from early October.
