Terrorism: Compensation

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice if he will assess the merits of introducing retrospective compensation for British victims of terrorism overseas. (304134)

The Government are considering proposals to establish a scheme to compensate the victims of overseas terrorist attacks. There are a number of complex issues to consider, including whether such a scheme should apply to past terrorist attacks. I expect a decision to be made shortly.
