Probation trusts and areas in Wales are forecast to be on-budget for 2009-10.

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what mechanism exists for probation trusts and probation areas in Wales to be reimbursed for the cost to them of (a) changes in the number of staff they employ and (b) redundancy payments in the period to April 2010. (306504)

All probation areas/trusts in Wales have identified efficiency savings in their budgets. It is anticipated that any staff reorganisation or redundancies that may arise before April 2010 will be met from this money.
