To ask the Minister of State, Department for Transport by what date he anticipates the completion of the doubling of the railway line between Swindon and Kemble. (308233)

Officials at the Department for Transport are currently in negotiation with Network Rail to determine an acceptable price for this work, along with timescales for construction. We hope to be in a position to give further information on the matter in the near future.
