The Government already enjoys constructive relations with India across a broad range of bilateral, regional and global issues. We aim to develop close bilateral co-operation with India on education, trade, investment and development. We will also continue to engage the Indian Government on our strategic priorities in South Asia, recognising India’s pivotal role in the region. UK and India are already working closely to address various global challenges which include promoting global economic stability, reducing the impact of climate change and tackling the threat of terrorism.
