To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many nurses were employed in the area covered by Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust in (a) 1997 and (b) the latest period for which figures are available. (308658)

1. Due to organisation changes it is not possible to provide comparable data for the area covered by Central Lancashire PCT with any degree of accuracy prior to 2002.
