To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how many people attended the c&binet event at The Grove on 26 to 28 October 2009; and how many were (a) creative ambassadors, (b) speakers and (c) representatives of (i) his and (ii) other Government departments. (313576)

A total of 303 delegates attended the c&binet event at The Grove on 26 to 28 October 2009.

Of those 303 delegates: 16 were c&binet ambassadors; 65 were speakers, panelists, moderators and contributors; eight were representatives of DCMS; and 17 were representatives of other Government Departments including devolved Administrations.

Many of the speakers, panelists, moderators and contributors also attended and took part in the event other than for the sessions in which they participated.

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport who attended his meeting with c&binet ambassadors on 27 July 2009; and what expenditure was incurred on (a) food, (b) drink, (c) travel, (d) attendance fees and (e) other expenses in respect of the meeting. (313577)

I attended the meeting with c&binet ambassadors, along with the Secretary of State, three DCMS officials and nine c&binet ambassadors.

Refreshments were provided, at an estimated total cost of £30. No other expenses were incurred.
